Jim Porter, postdoctoral Fellow at the Hugo Valentin Centre, presents his research.
Jim Porter graduated 2017 with a PhD in history from Michigan State University. The title of his dissertation was Constructing the “Gifted” and “Academically Talented” Student: “Intelligence,” Intelligence Testing, and Educational Opportunity in the Era of Brown v. Board and the National Defense Education Act.
